This time my client was actually an old friend Makio who know lot's
about Mercedes Benz auto parts but not as much about men's
fashion he asked me to style him up and I was more than happy to

The client was tall and an ex-sportsman so I was extra confident
that he was going to look great. Since he wanted a suit I took him
to one of the many good tailors that I know personally in Tokyo.
I chose this tailor for their efficiency and price range. I knew
was they would fit my clients budget and would be a good
entry level option

suit
consulting with my client I hand selected the fabric and specified the collar, cut, lining
and other fine details of the suit. My client let me do what I do and you know I did my
best to make him look good feel good and perhaps want to order more suits.

supporting items
The shirt was ordered at the tailors since there is no better fitting shirt than the one
made especially for you. My client has longer arms than the average Japanese man so
getting an off the rack shirt would mean a bad fitting shirt under a good fitting suit,
not good thing.

Culturally black ties are for funerals and white ties are for wedding. I bent those
rules and chose a silver tie that you may not want to wear to a funeral but could
work well in a party situation. This selection gives my client versatility with his
purchase since he would also be attending parties in the near future.

A simple addition like a pocket square in the breast pocket adds that extra spice
to the look without being over the top I chose a pocket square with a design
that says classic but not old.

Shoes
With information on my client's lifestyle I chose a nice pair of suede loafers so he
could get more versatility and longevity for his purchase. They may need more
care and attention but suede shoes are soo cool !!

accessories

bag
When your at a wedding you don't want to bring the same bag that you use for work,
it's usually too big anyway. So I chose the Rootote & RFC "KOIBITO", at a wedding
you normally only need to carry a few things, mobilephone, keys, wallet, business
card case, digital camera, etc. The KOIBITO allows you jto carry tese items in a really
smart fashionable way, and it also gets bigger just in case you return home with more
than you left with. and thats not all, three carrying styles.

cufflinks
RFC oceans collection "clam shell" cufflinks
cufflinks set you apart from the average shmo and sets the mood of a "winner" to
your overall look. I selected these particular cufflinks for their uniqueness and
masculinity

I also chose a webbed belt that matched his shoes and socks of a similar tone
unfortunately I don't have those pics

put it all together and YES !
he is fully equipped and ready for the wedding.

MY UGLY SHIRT + Birthday Week

When I found this shirt in a shop in New York I said to myself

“WOW !! this shit is SOOO UGLY… its COOL !!!”

I don’t wear it often but when I do I feel it’s special powers.

Today is the first day of Birthday Week and tonight me and my

Having lunch with a good friend and happy customer I realized that some of
my early pieces may need to make a come back.

Items like this Roger Francis Clarke original "drop of gold" 18K bracelet
that still continues to satisfy this customer years later. There was also a
necklace, and anklet in the collection. let me just produce it again and
show you.

Since I started the Digital Magazine 1 two one 2 my blog has really
suffered. I guess that might be because the magazine is like a giant
blog I have been taking photos, interviewing people, coordinating
and organizing. Actually it is a lot more work thanany blog ! Well
that is my excuse for not posting anything in a long time.

Good news is that there are new photographers and writers coming
in on the mag, so it will become even more powerful !

スタート時のコンテンツはファッションやアート、フードなど、
世界中から「ライフスタイルのチューニング」を目的として集めました。

1 two one 2 ワン・ツーワン・ツー…サウンドシステムのセッティングの際に、
マイクロフォンを使って”ワン・ツー”と発声しスピーカーをチューニングします。
実は”ワン・ツー”という言葉には幅広い音域が含まれていて、
この言葉を発声すれば、スピーカーが低音から高音まで正しく
再現されているか確かめることができる、魔法の言葉。

1 two one 2 デジタルマガジンも同様に、ファッション、アート、ボディケアから
さまざまなシーンで活躍する人へのインタビューまで、幅広くフィーチャーします。

ライフスタイルのチューニングに、1 two one 2 デジタルマガジン！

毎月５日には最新号をアップしますが、コンテンツは今後さらに増えていく予定。
コンテンツによっては毎月、毎週、または毎日更新されていきます。
ちなみに次号のリリースは5月5日。

1 two one 2 Digital magazine has released it's online version April 5th, 2010.
presenting content including Fashion, Music, Art, Food, etc.,1 two one 2 various
lifestyle tuning topics from around the world.

The magazine web edition will expand in depth and content as time progresses
1 two one 2 magazine that will release a new issue on the 5th of each month,
with next release scheduled for May 5th. Content updates will be monthly,
weekly, and daily, depending on the topic.

Also look out for new topics will be added as well.

For the first 6 months the content will basically be in the Japanese Language,
however we plan to have English and other language translations in the near future.

Spent some time in the park today enjoying some slow time. It's almost
cherry blossom season and there were many cherry trees. The trees all
seemed ready to bloom but there was only one that had blossomed early.
Felt kinda special to have seen the first one of the year.
